The Background Of The Society
President: ------?President Emeritus: -----
The Tourism Society, established in 2003, is a membership organisation of professionals working in, studying or associated with tourism, primarily in Italy. The Club was founded to bring together professionals working in all sectors of the diverse travel and tourism industry and in fields related to it. It thus links the many sectors of tourism such as attractions, hotels and other visitor accommodation, catering and hospitality, tour operators, transport and travel agents. It also links other people interested in travel and tourism such as architects, engineers, lawyers, surveyors and accountants. The Club provides a forum and think thank for debate on issues across the breadth of tourism's influence and its interaction with many other industries, activities and interests.
The Society welcomes applications from:
Anyone practicing in or professionally interested in tourism
Anyone studying for a recognised degree course in tourism
Anyone who has practiced in and/or has been professionally interested in tourism
The Tourism Society -- Board Members
The Society is managed by a Board, elected by the members, and is funded by subscriptions, advertising revenue, meetings fees, other contributions and sponsorship.
